StandWithUs is proud to begin another year of activity with the EL AL Ambassadors program! First launched in 2011 as a joint initiative of EL AL Israel Airlines, StandWithUs, the Jewish Agency for Israel, and the Israeli Foreign Ministry, this unique program trains pilots and flight attendants to share their Israel stories and diverse cultures with audiences worldwide during layovers. Through their presentations, these natural ambassadors of Israel help to shape Israel’s perception around the world, and strengthen the relationship between Jews in Israel and in the Diaspora.
The EL AL Ambassadors, dressed in uniform, volunteer to serve at the forefront of Israeli diplomacy. More than 500,000 people worldwide have already participated in these “people-to-people” programs and many more events are planned.
StandWithUs Director of Operations, Ilana Sherrington-Hoffman, kicked off this year’s activity with an advanced training for veteran ambassadors .
