Everyone at StandWithUs is deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Rabbi Lord Sacks, an inspirational leader in the Jewish world and beyond.
We will remember him as a giant in Torah learning, a man who stood up against antisemitism, who spoke with with a moral voice that resonated far beyond the Jewish community and a bridge-builder to people of all faiths.
It was our honor and a pleasure to work with him since our inception at StandWithUs. An iconic British Chief Rabbi, StandWithUs UK paid tribute to his myriad achievements, presenting him with its “Beacon of Light” award.
He was born in the same year that his beloved State of Israel was reborn and he was a passionate defender of the Jewish State. His words, deeds and lessons will be a blessing for future generations to come.
