Keeping Students Safe, Strong, and Proud

StandWithUs is dedicated to combating antisemitism and supporting Israel through education. Our mission includes supplying students with factual resources and programs, a supportive network of like-minded peers, and access to our campus, research, and legal staff in order to confidently and effectively stand up for Israel and fight antisemitism. Since October 7, we have realized that students must also be physically and mentally prepared to fight for a basic sense of safety in addition to fighting for hearts and minds. Unfortunately, college administrations across the country have largely failed to support and protect their Jewish and pro-Israel students in the face of widespread antisemitism and discrimination, as well as physical and emotional harm on their campuses.
SUPPORTING STUDENTS
In August 2024, StandWithUs welcomed student leaders from the StandWithUs Emerson Fellowship and the StandWithUs Kenneth Leventhal High School Internship. Over a five-day period, 400 proud high school and college Zionist leaders received training on a variety of topics, including antisemitism, knowing legal rights, and how to respond to anti-Israel activity with factual information.
Additionally, we conducted a survey (pilot study) of 103 American college students which found the following:

78% experienced antisemitism on their campus

57% faced verbal attacks

13% were victims of physical attacks

53% feared that the threat of antisemitic attacks would affect their participation in events and classes

53% said having a security escort would influence their decision to attend classes or events instead of skipping them
In light of these troubling statistics and to better support students, StandWithUs has a dedicated page on our website that includes a list of suggested outlets to help students navigate these difficult times. We call it StaySAFE. StaySTRONG. StayPROUD. The reality we face is clear: just as the IDF protects the State of Israel and all its citizens, Jews, Zionists, and their allies must do what they can to support one another.
