This International Holocaust Remembrance Day, January 27, 2024, we are deeply grateful to Holocaust Survivor Susanne Reyto for her inspiring presentation at the Canyon Crest Academy Music Department in San Diego. As the author of Pursuit of Freedom and Destination Freedom and chair of Violins of Hope, LA County, Susanne shared her powerful story of survival through one of the historic violins that endured the Holocaust. Music students had the unique opportunity to engage with the violin and learn invaluable lessons of courage, resilience, and humanity from Susanne’s firsthand experiences.
