StandWithUs Strongly Condemns Entrata Founder David Bateman’s Antisemitic Outburst

Updated: Jan 6, 2022

(Los Angeles, CA – January 5, 2022) -- StandWithUs applauds Entrata CEO Adam Edmunds for condemning David Bateman, founder and chairman of the Utah-based property management software firm for his overtly antisemitic comments and the Board for asking him to resign as Board chair.

On January 4, Bateman mass e-mailed several tech executives and elected officials claiming that COVID-19 vaccines are a Jewish plot to depopulate the world. Bateman blamed “the Jews” for conspiring to “euthanize the American people. I believe the Jews are behind this...I believe the pandemic and systematic extermination of billions of people will lead to an effort to consolidate all the countries in the world under a single flag with totalitarian rule.”

Roz Rothstein, CEO StandWithUs stated, "Bateman’s dangerous, hateful comments are straight out of the infamous Protocols of the Elders of Zion, a forged document alleging a conspiracy by ‘powerful’ Jews to dominate the world. The Protocols were part of the propaganda campaign of lies adapted by Nazi Germany in its antisemitic propaganda, prompting historians to call it a 'warrant for genocide.'"

Edmunds tweeted that Bateman’s words, “were his alone, and do not reflect the views or values of Entrata, the executive team, board of directors, or investors. To be absolutely clear, we at Entrata condemn antisemitism in any and all forms."

“We commend Adam Edmunds and Entrata for their quick and decisive condemnation of Bateman’s conspiratorial comments and are pleased he is no longer on the Board," said Rothstein. "There is no room in corporate America for these kinds of conspiracy theories that target one group of people. We also thank Edmunds for affirming that 'diversity and inclusivity are critical to the success and future of Entrada."
