The StandWithUs Saidoff Legal Department wrote to the organizers of Big Bad Con, a board game convention scheduled for October 2024 in California, (1) commending the organizers’ decision to remove exclusionary, antisemitic language from the description of a panel at their convention and (2) cautioning them against capitulating to the demands of boycotters trying to pressure them into adopting antisemitic policies. StandWithUs recommended best practices for the organization to adopt to avoid running afoul of their own community standards and anti-harassment policy, as well as applicable civil rights laws.
