(Jerusalem, July 6, 2023) — Israel education is coming to the newest social media app in a big way. StandWithUs, the international education non-profit, reached 40,000 followers less than 24 hours after the newest global social media platform “Threads” was launched. “Threads” is the latest offering from Mark Zukerberg’s Meta, which already owns Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp. StandWithUs, which has become known for its huge reach on digital platforms, was one of the first Israel education organizations to join the platform, attracting thousands of followers within hours of the launch. “Threads” is being positioned as a similar app to Twitter, where StandWithUs already has 200,000 followers, in addition to having nearly 450,000 on Instagram and 1.4M followers on Facebook. The organization’s weekly peak post reach is in excess of 100 million.
