StandWithUs wrote to Santa Monica College (SMC) on December 21, 2023, in response to their letter of November 22, 2023. We requested (1) that SMC impose all appropriate disciplinary measures on the students who violated university policies and attempted to commit unlawful antisemitic conduct and (2) that SMC immediately remove from office the ICC chairperson who presided over the October 19, 2023, meeting and thus permitted this behavior and course of action. StandWithUs also informed the administration that the California Brown Act does not preclude SMC from undertaking these actions, as their November 22 letter asserted.
