c in Fall 2024, StandWithUs Canada had the privilege of touring Former Israeli Government Spokesman Eylon Levy in Vancouver, Calgary, Toronto, and Montreal to share his insights on the ongoing Israel-Hamas war, the dramatic flareup of antisemitism in the Diaspora, and how to combat it by using our voices to speak up. With profound conversations led by excellent moderators, audience members were captivated by Eylon’s articulate perceptions and explanations, as he shared truths and facts from a perspective few around the world have. Speaking to over 2,000 Canadians, Eylon’s impactful message of the critical need to speak up echoed throughout each room, leaving audience members more hopeful and empowered to take action against the wave of hatred the Canadian Jewish community has been experiencing post-October 7th.
During each event, we honoured and presented awards to our fabulous Emerson Fellows, both past and present, for their leadership skills, courage, and determination exhibited both on and off campus. Not only do they inspire us, but they inspired Eylon, as well, and show a promising future for the “Generation Zionist” that will one day be our country’s leaders. In Toronto, we also honoured Kevin Vuong, MP, who tirelessly advocates for the Canadian Jewish community and draws attention to injustices, making him a notable and highly respected ally.
