Saturday, June 21 marked a historic moment in U.S. foreign policy. President Trump showed the world that the US clearly and forcefully stands with Israel and the IDF. He stated, “I want to thank and congratulate Prime Minister Bibi Netanyahu. We worked as a team like never before, making great strides in eliminating this threat to Israel. I also thank the Israeli military for their outstanding work.”
For decades, Iran has been the world’s leading sponsor of terrorism. The joint efforts of Israel and the United States have now significantly crippled Iran’s nuclear ambitions and struck a major blow to its regional influence. These actions defend and promote core Western values, including, peace through strength.
Together, Israel and the United States are reshaping the Middle East, to a region where more Arab nations can join the Abraham Accords. This new trajectory not only supports long-term regional opportunity but also offers hope to the people of Iran. The Persian people— the true descendants of Cyrus the Great—continue to suffer under a radical Islamist regime supported by only a small fraction of the population.
While much work remains, the U.S. and Israel must continue their efforts to fully dismantle Iran’s ballistic missile capabilities, eliminate Hamas, and free the remaining hostages. Additionally, diplomatic pressure must intensify to address Qatar’s support for terrorism and its efforts to undermine Western institutions.
