AboutUs
The StandWithUs Saidoff Legal Department empowers students and community members through a legal response to antisemitism and anti-Zionist activity.
We work around the clock responding to legal intake, determining the appropriate response, initiating legal action, and bringing all StandWithUs resources to bear.
Legal Analysis
We review and analyze university policies, student government bylaws, district policies, and federal, state, and local laws when they are threatened or infringed because of antisemitism and antizionism.
Legal Empowerment
We educate students and community members about their rights, including how to identify and respond to antisemitism. We provide them with the legal tools and resources to fight back against antisemitism and in support of Israel through free legal help.
Areas of focus include:
-
Ethnic studies
-
University endowment issues
-
Antisemitic hate crimes and utilizing the criminal justice system
-
Filing legal complaints alleging violations of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, filing discrimination and harassment complaints through the university system, and filing grievances with school districts demanding accountability and repercussions for antisemitism.
Educational Resources and Legal Workshops
We offer numerous workshops to educate students, community members and lawyers about available legal tools and strategies to counter antisemitism and anti-Israel extremism. For more information about our work and to view our booklets and news items, please visit the links below:
