Regional Campus Manager, Vancouver


StandWithUs Canada is a non-partisan Israel education organization that inspires and educates people of all ages and backgrounds about Israel, challenges misinformation, and fights antisemitism.

The High School & Campus Coordinator will oversee our work with high school and university students in Vancouver. This role includes mentoring our Leventhal Interns and Emerson Fellows, and additional community members. You will be part of a dynamic team of passionate professionals and work with various student and community groups to provide education and resources. This position is suited for someone who is passionate about empowering the next generation with the knowledge and tools they need to tell Israel’s story and combat antisemitism, while also cultivating their own professional skills in project management, public speaking, event planning, mentorship, and networking.


Responsibilities:


- Coordinate with StandWithUs Canada staff locally and nationally to support, educate, and provide resources for the Vancouver community.

- Build meaningful relationships with lay leaders, professionals, and community members in Vancouver.

- Present educational programs, workshops, and lead interactive discussions on topics related to Israel and combating antisemitism for high school and university students, as well as community and parent audiences.

- Provide educational resources and materials to student leaders, mentoring them on activism, leadership, and programming skills.

- Recruit and outreach to students and teachers of all faiths across high school, university, and college levels.

- Build community and develop professional networks with relevant organizations and professionals in the region.

- Assist in planning and executing local, regional, and national conferences and summits.

- Document student activities, gather testimonials, and quantify data for semester reporting.

- Track and respond to antisemitic incidents in academic spaces within the region.

- Communicate and facilitate efforts with local and national StandWithUs Canada professionals (e.g., events organization and promotion).

- Promote positive, factual education about the Jewish people and Israel in curricula applicable to the region at the state and local level.

- Maintain a high level of knowledge related to Israel, the Middle East, and topics related to the Jewish community with regards to antisemitism.



Qualifications:


- University degree required.

- Passion for educating and mentoring teens and young adults about Israel and fighting antisemitism.

- Leadership experience in camps, youth movements, synagogues, and teen and young adult programs.

- Background in experiential education, facilitating workshops, and public speaking required.

- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

- High degree of creativity and flexibility to meet organizational objectives.

- Demonstrated project management, supervisory, and time management skills.

- Computer literacy, including proficiency with MS Office, Google Suite applications, and internet applications.

- Detail-oriented, self-motivated, organized, reliable, team-player, proactive, strong work ethic, and leadership skills; ability to multitask.

- Must have Canadian citizenship or a valid work visa. StandWithUs Canada cannot sponsor visas.

- Must be living in Vancouver.

- Knowledge of the Vancouver Jewish Community is an asset.



Additional Information:


- The position entails monthly travel to Ottawa for 2-3 days at a time. A valid driver’s license is preferred, though intercity travel may be done by train.

- Reporting to the Associate and Campus Directors, the Regional Campus Manager, Vancouver, is an entry-level position with opportunities for growth.

- Position Start Date: August 2024 (Flexible in both directions)

- Salary: Starting at $45,000, subject to experience.
