Part-Time / Flexible with some time based at StandWithUs Center in Jerusalem – freelance will be considered

StandWithUs is seeking an excellent candidate to work in Grantwriting / Donor Relations at our Jerusalem office to find fundraising leads, apply to foundations, communicate with donors and increase support the work of StandWithUs in Israel.

You will be cultivating donors, maintaining existing relationships, and supporting the Israel team in its development efforts. The successful candidate must have an experience in fundraising, with a focus on written abilities. The ideal candidate will be results-oriented and have a clear passion for StandWithUs’s mission and Israel.

Reporting directly to our Executive Director, you will be able to work independently and will need excellent written skills. Candidates must have a sophisticated understanding of donor relations, relationship-building and fundraising.

* This role may involve irregular / flexible work hours.

Responsibilities will include:

• Solicit annual gifts from portfolio of existing donors and ensure meaningful ongoing professional relationships via communications with these supporters.

• Identify, connect with, solicit and assist stewardship of relationships with new donor prospects.

• Research new grant and funding opportunities.

• Collate materials and write up and submit grants.

• Collaborate enthusiastically with lay leadership including working with existing donors to leverage connections and engage them in working towards fundraising goals.

• Assist with hosting donors in Israel and show them our Center and our work.

• Assist with programs including donor thank you events.

• Utilize database to manage and track donor relationships.

Qualifications:

• Understanding of and experience in fundraising.

• Excellent writing skills.

• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and collaborative environment, as well as an interest in advancing the organizations fundraising goals

• Strong communication skills including experience in presenting and public speaking

• Knowledge of the Jewish Community and Anglo-Israeli community. Knowledge of Israeli business community is a bonus.

• Strong understanding of donor research, identification, cultivation and solicitation, and stewardship.

• A flexible and creative thinker that is able to find and create new giving opportunities for programs.

• English as a mother tongue (or very high level)

• Good level of Hebrew helpful

• BA or higher
