SHABBOS KESTENBAUM

Shabbos Kestenbaum is an American-Jewish graduate student activist and the lead plaintiff against Harvard University, alleging pervasive and systemic antisemitism. He regularly contributes to national media, has testified in front of the United States Congress multiple times, and lectures internationally on Jewish communal issues.

OLGA MESHOE WASHINGTON

South African native, attorney, connector, and author Olga Meshoe Washington is a keen pro-Israel advocate and serves as the Chief Executive Officer of DEISI International and as a board member of the Institute for Black Solidarity with Israel. Olga was named as one of South Africa’s 2011 influential young Christian leaders, and in 2016, she received the Jerusalem Award from the World Zionist Organization in recognition of her advocacy for the state of Israel and the South African Jewish Community. Olga was named #1 among the 25 Young ViZIONaries by The Jerusalem Post and Jewish National Fund in September 2023. Olga also serves as the Chief Operating Officer of Club Z, a Zionist Youth Program in the U.S.

DIANE & ANDREW LAPPIN

Andrew (Andy) and Diane Lappin have been StandWithUs Midwest supporters since day one of the chapter. Israel's security and the Jewish future are central to all they do. Andy, a redeveloper of urban industrial properties, is a board member of StandWithUs Midwest, the Ember Foundation (Executive Committee), Middle East Forum (Executive Committee), NGO Monitor (Advisory Board), and Committee for Accuracy in Middle East Reporting (CAMERA). He was the chairman of the Illinois Policy Board and instrumental in opposing the attempted anti-Israel boycott by Ben & Jerry's and the degradation of Israel investments by Morningstar. He also served on the boards of the Committee on Israel Boycott Restrictions, the International Fellowship of Christians and Jews (former Campaign Chairman), and the Jewish United Fund of Metropolitan Chicago. Andrew is a prolific writer for the Times of Israel, Jewish News Syndicate (JNS), and numerous other publications. Diane Lappin is an avid gardener and floral designer who serves as a board member at Northwestern’s Osher Center for Integrative Health.
