BACKGROUND INFORMATION
In September, we asked you to mobilize and speak out to keep hate and bias out of California’s Ethnic Studies Model Curriculum (ESMC). You can read our detailed analysis of the previous draft here .
Thanks to all of our efforts, the California Department of Education (CDE) has released a new draft with significant improvements. However, further changes are needed (see our analysis and recommendations here ), and extremists are now pressuring the CDE to put anti-Israel bias back into the curriculum and remove honest education about antisemitism.
DON’T LET THE HATERS WIN.
California residents have until January 21, 2021 to provide feedback about the curriculum to the CDE.
