Support “Jewish Refugee Day” (H. Res. 904)

HELP US:

Join the campaign and ask your representative today to support H. Res. 904 and help establish Jewish Refugee Day.

An important bipartisan resolution recently introduced in Congress would formally recognize November 30 as Jewish Refugee Day — also known by its Hebrew name, Yom HaPlitim.

This day would honor the memory of the roughly 900,000 Jews who were forced to leave Arab countries in the Middle East and North Africa following the establishment of the State of Israel. Recognizing their stories is a powerful way to acknowledge a historical injustice, counter antisemitism, and ensure that future generations understand this often-overlooked chapter in Jewish and Middle Eastern history.

The resolution also calls for educational efforts across the United States — and beyond — to teach about the forced displacement and exile of these communities, ensuring this history is remembered and honored.

Together, we can help ensure that the stories of generations of Jewish refugees are acknowledged, remembered, and honored.

Join the campaign and ask your representative today to support H. Res. 904 and help establish Jewish Refugee Day.
