K-12 Fairness Center

Professional Development

ABOUT

The K-12 Fairness Center offers essential and timely professional development for educators, empowering them to create inclusive, informed, and bias-free school environments that can prevent and respond effectively to antisemitism (bigotry against Jews).

Each of our programs features a foundational segment about Jewish identity and modern antisemitism, followed by a segment tailored to meet the unique needs of K-12 educators and administrators.

By combining deep insights with practical tools, we ensure participants leave equipped to address these complex issues with confidence and sensitivity.

Programs are fully customizable to accommodate the specific objectives, time constraints, and challenges faced by individual schools or districts.

CURRENT OFFERINGS

We typically work with schools and districts to custom design a program that best meets their individual needs. We recommend at least two hours for each workshop, although we can accommodate most time constraints.

Each workshop is designed to be interactive and includes time for Q & A. All of our programs are delivered live, in person, unless otherwise arranged.

“Stand With Us led an outstanding workshop on identifying bias in the news and various forms of media. Our educational leaders and teachers were truly impressed by the organization’s commitment to delivering a dynamic, informative, and sensitive training session that resonated deeply with our county’s educators. Stand With Us demonstrated exceptional scholarship, preparation, and credibility, earning the trust and respect of all present.

Their workshop provided a comprehensive understanding of the nuanced world of media bias, equipping teachers with invaluable tools to navigate this complex landscape. Stand With Us offered robust resources and practical strategies that can be seamlessly incorporated into the classroom, ensuring that our students develop critical thinking skills to discern fact from bias.
