StandWithUs Digital Public Relations Writer

StandWithUs is seeking a Digital Public Relations & Media Writer for our Jerusalem office. Working together on social media output with the StandWithUs digital team, this position will include responsibility for crafting compelling, high-impact written content showcasing the extraordinary work of StandWithUs across press, traditional media, and social media. This role focuses on telling the stories of our global impact, campaigns, and initiatives while building strong connections with journalists, influencers, and audiences. This is a full-time position, based flexibly in StandWithUs’ Israel office in Jerusalem, under the direction of the Digital Department Directors and the Executive Director of StandWithUs Israel.

Responsibilities:

Pitch, write, and place stories about StandWithUs to drive media coverage and public awareness. Drive awareness to, and engagement with, critical StandWithUs campaigns and activism.
Write, edit, and adapt content for press releases, op-eds, statements, newsletters, website updates, and social media posts.
Crystallize complex ideas into impactful soundbites, headlines, and shareable content.
Maintain relationships with key contact people in related positions outside of the organization.
Source and package compelling stories from StandWithUs offices and departments worldwide.
Manage and coordinate social media presence to complement PR goals and grow engagement.
Develop and execute integrated promotional campaigns across media and digital platforms.
Track coverage and engagement, providing actionable insights to refine strategies.
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure consistent and aligned messaging.

Requirements:

Mother-tongue American English — impeccable grammar, style, and cultural fluency.
Excellent writing versatility — able to produce both short-form (headlines, captions, social media posts) and long-form (articles, press releases) content.
Education or professional background in public relations, communications, journalism, or marketing.
Solid understanding of the media landscape and effective pitching methods.
Able to work regularly from our office, with flexibility for remote work.
Highly organized, proactive, and collaborative.

Preferred Skills:

Experience in nonprofit, Israel advocacy, or cause-related communications.
Knowledge of Israel-related topics and current events.
Basic multimedia production skills (video editing, Canva, Adobe Creative Suite).
