It’s hard to compare tragedies like the Holocaust and October 7th. Comparing pain can sometimes imply that one form of suffering is greater than another. Instead, perhaps it’s better to look for the shared threads of heroism that connect these moments, the same spirit of our people, who time and again have shown unimaginable courage and deep mutual responsibility for one another.
