SARASOTA – Wednesday we told you about an act of hatred, someone vandalizing two Suncoast temples. Early Wednesday morning this unknown suspect spray painted swastikas and hateful messages on temple Emanu-El and Temple Sinai, and Sarasota County Sheriff’s detectives are looking for him. If you know anything about this case, the nonprofit pro-Israel advocacy group StandWithUs wants to hear from you. In partnership with the Mizel Family Foundation, StandWithUs has a program through which a monetary award may be available for information about this criminal act. Director of the StandWithUs Center for Combating Antisemitism Carly Gammill says it’s another incentive to be courageous and speak up for what is right.
“This is a time when this type of hate is unfortunately being spread, and the reality is that that hate is what’s going to win if the people who have information about this remain silent,” Gammill said.
If you have any information Gammill still encourages you to contact the sheriff’s office, but reach out to her as well. Her email address is carlyg@standwithus.com.
